HEROES

Recently I got hooked up watching a new TV series in US entitled Heroes. It's a story of ordinary individuals, living among us, who find out that they possess extraordinary powers. Its actually similar to X-Men in context, wherein humans are genetically altered or mutated which in effect makes them superhuman. There is this young politician who can fly, a cheerleader who is invincible, a painter who paints the future, a policeman who can hear everyones thoughts, a stripper who has an alter ego, a fugitive from law who can pass through solid objects , a Japanese guy who can stop time at will and can travel through time. Together, they try to figure out what is their ultimate destiny and the real reason why they possess such powers. Right now I'm already halfway through the first season.

Stories like this, where supernatural powers are involved , always catch my fancy. Even way back during college time, I greatly admire the stories of Greek and Roman Mythology. I dont know why. Maybe its the child in me that always crave for something paranormal or superhuman in nature. At the back of my mind I have this top 3 super powers I wish I have. First the power to teleport, so I can go anywhere I want to. At my current situation maybe I will work here in Japan at daytime then teleport myself to the Philippines at night so I can spend time
with my family. Second , power of invisibility so that I can sneak in to anywhere without being noticed. If I have this power you better watch out ladies hahaha!!! Lastly I want the power to hear other people's thoughts. With this I'm sure no one can lie to me. Wishful thinking as it may sound , the child in me always wanted to
believe that someday I can have any of these powers.
